Kia

23 April 2007

We left for Kia on Wednesday, 11 April and arrived on Thursday, 12 April. The ride there wasn't too bad we had cabin spaces, books and a deck of cards, so we weren't really bored or anything. When the boat first left Grant, Sarah and I were up in the front of the boat a lot. It's just a whole bunch funner, to be up in the prow of boat. The salty wind in your face, an awesome view of God's creation ahead, miles of water surrounding us...

Uncle Lee, Matt and Bethany met us at the wharf. We got all of our stuff off and then Matt and Grant stayed with it all while the rest of us carried our cargo up to the house. It's not actually that far, the walk from the wharf to the house, but we were tired and it was dark, so that made it seem so much longer. Once we reached the house, Aunt Robin had cold water, rice and chile out for us. It was so good, just to have cold water and warm food and not have to worry about needing to 'go' after.
Bedtime couldn't have come sooner, I was dead tired.
