Good news for Wala Speakers
Saturday, March 15, 2008
It's 5:30 Saturday morning and the girls and I are getting ready to leave for the domestic airport where we will board a plane for Auki on Malaita Island. Tim went ahead to participate in the last day of a literacy workshop that was held there.
Tomorrow we will be honored to witness a bit of history for the people of Langalanga Lagoon who speak the Wala language. For the first time they will be able to read God's Word in their own language. Our good friend, Matthew, is the translator for the New Testament, so this one is especially close to our hearts.
We appreciate prayers for the Launch on Sunday and for our safety in travel.
